This link may be helpful to anyone travelling Abroad with your furry friends in Bambi. The one thing we were surprised at when on the ferry is that your pet stays in the vehicle in our case it was Dover- Calais so it was only 1hr 20 m

When we went to Ireland with the club, but you could have them with you in a certain place on the deck rather cold though, quite a while ago now, possibly changed as you have to have dog passport to go to the south of Ireland now. _________________ Membership 30

hi, I have recently been told that if you are with the RAC they will not take you home if you have a dog with you as they wont allow it to travel in their truck, but you need to check if this is true. _________________ Michael & Elaine Carter.

This is true if you break down we are with the R A C , we had made up our mind that if this happened to us we would hire a car to take our furry friend home. When back in Britain the dog would have to travel in the Bambi on the back of the breakdown vehicle they are not allowed in the cab that's why we made that decision to hire but lucky enough in all the years we have travelled abroad in Bambi we have never broken down yet ( touch wood )
