We had all been looking forward to the first rally of the new season and the weather forecast was to be good for that area, then the week before the starting motor had to be replaced then 2 days before our water pump was leaking and had to send off for a new one so once again Bambi was not going anywhere and it was plan B. We loaded up the car with the boxes with games food etc for the rally as we did not want to cancel. We had a few call offs but still had a good turnout for the first rally. We all gathered for our lunch in the hall and it was great to catch up with everyone's news over the winter. In the evening we had a lovely shared meal. Saturday morning the car came in handy for a few of us to set off to Blairgowrie for a wonder round it is a lovely wee town by the river with lots of different shops & ofcourse charity shops. When we returned we all went off on walks around the village with our dogs to stretch our legs then back to the hall for more food and a quiz or too. Sunday turned out to be a lovely day so once everyone had packed up Bambi we met again in the hall for our last coffee & crossoints. We decided to take the road to Glenshee where there was still some snow and all the skiers were making the best of it as it is beginning to thin out. We travelled into Braemar and through Royal Deeside back to Aberdeen so hoping Bambi is fixed and ready to go for the next rally as we have decided to replace the timing belt and now a rear shock absorber has gone too so we will have our fingers crossed.
