We arrived at Monturpie to sunny but windy weather to find we had a new member with us from Leeds. We soon got chatting and discovered that Billy Fulton was actually a Scotsman originally from Coatbridge so it was good to welcome him to the rally.
Friday turned out to be colder so a couple of us braved the weather for a trip by bus to St Andrews to do some shopping and lunch. At night Ronnie was kind enough to drive to get us our fish & chips for tea and then we had a quiz and play your cards right. Saturday was a much better day quite warm, summer jackets on and another bus trip, this time to Leven the site is so central to travel around the kingdom of Fife. We ordered from Just eat a meal for everyone which was delivered to the site then the raffle and we were entertained by Billy on his guitar and sang for us this was his debut performance he did really well. Sunday was another hot day and we all had a lazy time then made our way to the onsite restaurant for High tea where the owner gave us a menu specially printed for us with a Bambi picture with welcome to the the Bambi owners club we thought it was a really nice touch and it was an excellent meal. In the evening we were entertained again by Billy on guitar.
Monday came around far too soon but it was time to pack up and head for home. _________________ Brian & June Rae.
