|I had a glut of runner beans this year, we were eating them most days, previous years I have frozen them.
This year I bought a 2nd hand soup maker, just in case I didn't like it.
So I did a search on the internet for a recipe, I found a very simple one with runner beans a large carrot and onion, seasoning and a little nutmeg if liked and stock. Slice runner beans small, chop carrot and onion and fry for a short while, add to the soup maker with the seasoning and stock, there is a max line inside, choose a button, on the lid I chose thick, set it going, it stirs, blends during cooking for about 10-15 minutes and its done.
Next will have to find more recipes with only a few ingredients, no recipe book with this item but plenty on internet and a soup book I bought off amazon, will be rummaging in the freezer for veggies that we are not using with small amounts left in the bags.
My soup maker is an older model newer ones have more buttons.
If you use a hook up in your vans it could be nice to have fresh soup on a cold day very quickly if spending a few days away.
